Pages of Agency is a collaborative initiative between Pulse Parity and EnHeart Studios that brings new and gently used books to pediatric healthcare settings, with an emphasis on diverse and culturally inclusive stories for children and teens. The initiative combines Pulse Parity’s mission to reduce social bias and inequity in healthcare with EnHeart Studios’ mission to use art, creativity, and community service to support children and promote emotional well-being. By placing inclusive books directly into healthcare environments, Pages of Agency aims to help young patients feel seen, represented, and supported beyond their medical care. For many of our book donation events, we have also partnered with Reach Out and Read New Jersey & Delaware, which has helped connect us with pediatric healthcare sites where donated books can make an impact.

We welcome new or gently used books for children and teens, especially stories featuring diverse cultures, identities, backgrounds, and experiences. All donated books are reviewed before being distributed to participating pediatric healthcare facilities.

  • Old Tappan Public Library (56 Russell Avenue, Old Tappan, NJ 07675) / Donations accepted through October 1, 2026.
