We educate both community members and future healthcare professionals through seminars and interactive workshops/trainings. These initiatives examine how implicit bias and social stigma affect healthcare experiences while strengthening health literacy, culturally responsive communication, and the ability to recognize and challenge inequities in care.
We translate research into policy reform that addresses structural inequities in healthcare, including expanding data disaggregation, strengthening culturally competent care standards, and increasing accountability in clinical practice. By engaging with legislators and supporting evidence-based bills, we work to ensure that equity is built into real systems.
We support communities historically affected by healthcare bias and stigma by raising funds and donating culturally inclusive books, educational materials, and other essential resources to healthcare facilities and community organizations.
