Pages of Agency at Holy Name Medical Center

On July 31, 2026, Pulse Parity and EnHeart Studios donated 70 books to the pediatric department at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Holy Name’s approach to pediatric care emphasizes not only children’s physical health, but also their emotional and social well-being. That commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive care closely aligns with Pulse Parity’s focus on equity in healthcare and EnHeart Studios’ mission of supporting young people through creativity, storytelling, and emotional connection.

During our visit, staff shared that while younger children often have more books available to them, older pediatric patients are less likely to have age-appropriate options, even though they enjoy choosing and receiving books just as much. With that in mind, our donation included books across a range of ages, interests, identities, and reading levels so that more patients could find something that felt relevant to them.
